Baros Maldives Reopens

24 May 2021 | All Blogs, Destination

Welcome back!

Baros Maldives has reopened and we are very excited that the resort will come back to life as guests return from 1 October 2020 onwards. As we start welcoming guests again, we would like to share the special re-opening offer and arrangements you can expect if you choose to stay with us during October and November 2020.

1. For Body and Mind

You will receive an exclusive Champagne Breakfast in the sanctuary of your private villa, where the comforting sound of the waves and warm breeze from the ocean create a truly beautiful memory of an extraordinary culinary experience. This enchanting start to your day on our tropical island of Baros will help soothe away the cares of the past few months.

As beautiful and bountiful are the natural surroundings of Baros, the more it means to help maintain and support the incredible underwater world. So we will sponsor a Coral Frame in your name if you stay in October or November 2020. The frame will be placed in the translucent lagoon ringing the resort. You will receive regular updates on the progress of your Coral Frame and will be able to view your own little coral garden during your subsequent visits to Baros.

2. Celebrating Heroes

As an expression of gratitude from Baros, if you are a front-line health-care worker during the COVID-19 pandemic and stay in October or November 2020, we will reward you with the extra benefits of a complimentary couple’s massage at the island’s Serenity Spa, a private dinner for two on the beach, champagne upon arrival, and a choice of a free scheduled excursion with social distancing observed.

In addition, to commemorate the selfless dedication of health-care workers, Baros is creating coral frames spelling out “ THANK YOU, HEROES.” These will be placed in the waters of the island’s lagoon so that the recognition of health-care work will be permanent.

Baros aims to keep the positive consequences of the pandemic – of compassion, unity and kindness – remembered by this tribute.

3. Safety and Wellbeing

As Baros is one of the smaller island resorts in the Maldives, we will open our shores only to a limited number of guests, so social distancing can be maintained effortlessly.

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests, at Baros we have introduced extensive operational changes. However, we are preserving the blissful island ambience and seamless attention to detail and guests’ requirements that have made this award-winning resort a legend. The proximity to the International Airport in Male’ makes the holiday journey especially convenient. Guests will reach our island by a short speedboat ride without being exposed to congested areas while waiting for domestic flight transfers.
