How to travel around the Maldives

7 May 2023 | All Blogs, Destination, Dining, Experience

The allure of the Maldives is not only in the exquisite natural beauty of the islands and surrounding ocean. It is also in the slow pace and leisurely days that make an island holiday so good for your soul.

Escape the pace of modern life by visiting Baros Maldives – where the burden of getting from A to B is lifted as soon as you touch down in Malé. Some islands within the Maldivian archipelago can take a whole travelling day to get to. But with Baros, within minutes, you will be enjoying our pristine beaches and the quiet, luxurious sanctuary of your private villa.

Touch down in paradise

Navigating yourself to your destination can be exhausting. That is why we have our Airport Representative, ready to whisk you off to our blissful island as soon as you walk out the airport gates. With just a brisk 25-minute, luxury speedboat ride you will be enjoying your own private piece of paradise in no time.

Many resorts require lengthy boat rides or expensive seaplanes to access them. The beauty of Baros is that it is easily accessible while being wonderfully remote.

Fully immerse yourself in paradise

Once you have arrived you can say goodbye to all forms of motorised transport if you wish. A short stroll from your villa will take you to Serenity Spa or our Palm Garden to enjoy a refreshing cocktail, or you can wander hand in hand to one of our award-winning restaurants for dinner.

A slow pace doesn’t mean you are saying goodbye to adventure. Set sail into the blue horizon on our traditional dhoni, Nooma, dive underwater and snorkel our world-class house reef or float on our lagoon in the glass-bottomed kayak.

The pace at Baros is slow and you will find yourself relaxing into the leisurely rhythms of island living.
