Here, a foodie has the choice of dining at our award-winning fine-dining restaurant, The Lighthouse Restaurant, or enjoying exceptional steaks, local fish and seafood, all grilled to perfection at Cayenne Grill, or Lime Restaurant, where we have an extensive menu, including a wide choice of vegan and vegetarian options.

In addition, we offer Maldivian cooking classes. Guests can learn how to cook traditional Dhivehi cuisine under the rustling leaves of our beautiful palm garden. This local cuisine is wonderfully and mildly spiced and is delicately and exotically flavoured. Coconut and local seafood are hero ingredients in Maldivian cooking and the food is deliciously tasty and light.

For the adventurous traveller, Baros has an exciting array of activities available. Diving with manta rays and cruising with dolphins are two experiences that will become lifelong memories. Dolphins tend to have a regular daily routine, feeding offshore at night, and coming into the atolls in the early morning, making it easy for us to ensure that you have the sighting of a lifetime.

From big game fishing excursions to night fishing under the stars, fishing is ranked as one of the top experiences in the Maldives. Reel in Barracuda, Snappers, and even Marlin in December and try your hand at traditional Maldivian fishing using a hand line with raw fish as bait.

If history, arts and culture move you, then the Maldives has plenty to offer. We also have local bands and musicians performing four times a week in the evenings.

Malé, the capital city of the Maldives, is the political, economic and cultural centre of the country and is known for its vibrant atmosphere, bustling streets, historic sites, and diverse array of restaurants and shops. Take a day excursion and visit the Hukuru Miskiy Mosque, known for its intricate carvings and beautiful architecture, or explore The Republic Square and its surroundings: popular gathering places for locals and visitors.

For Nature lovers

Baros is a natural paradise of swaying palms towering overhead and of dense tropical foliage. This cocooning canopy is a lush green against a backdrop of blue sky and sea and is home to many species of flora and fauna. Enjoy a guided island walk where you can learn more about the rich vegetation and fauna of the island.

Our lagoon is a pristine glistening blanket of blue; hidden within is one of the best house reefs in the Maldives. Baros has exceptional diving and snorkelling opportunities with our own Marine Centre and resident Marine biologist on hand to offer expert insight into the local marine life and ecosystem.
