PANORAMIC OCEAN VIEWS AT THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE MALDIVES

20 February 2022 | All Blogs, Destination, Dining, Experience

Baros Maldives stands for understated elegance and comfort. There is no need for lavish extravagance and gold-plated fallaciousness because the island is surrounded by a wealth of natural beauty – crystalline water painted in shades of blue and green, dazzling white shores and incandescent coral pink sunsets. Nowhere else is mother nature so perfect, so resolute in her innate loveliness that there is no need to dress her up.

But there is nothing pared-back about the Lighthouse Lounge cocktail menu. We have gone all out to please and astonish. To appeal to the curious, the explorers, the aficionados, and anyone tempted to discover Baros’ quixotic nature.

Baros raises the bar for blissful island living. The quiet ambience provides the perfect escape ensuring that you slow down, relax, and leave the world behind, with an exquisite cocktail in hand.

The Lighthouse Lounge floats effortlessly above the lagoon while butterflyfish and eagle rays swim below. The upper deck lounge is a study in teak with comfortable full-size rattan armchairs and low-slung sofas brilliantly offset by 360-degree panoramic ocean views. Beneath the shade of the landmark canvas sail roof, the gallery deck is the perfect spot to while away the afternoon with sparkling conversation and chilled glasses of finest white wine.

The Lighthouse Lounge’s inventive cocktail menu features classics and dilettantes like the Coral Mule which draws inspiration from the contrasting hues of the coral house reef. Premium amber Bourbon is paired with golden Ginger Ale and garnished with a vivid orange peel.

Inspired spins on classics like the Berry Royal, a Baros take on a time-honored Bellini – raspberry purée with a dash of premium Cognac topped with Prosecco. Try the Baros Breeze, a new age adaptation of the classic Dark and Stormy made with white and dark Rum and freshly pressed pineapple and cranberry juice. It’s like a tropical getaway in a glass.

The Lighthouse concoctions are accompanied by the mellow rhythm of the local jazz band and delicious bite-sized canapés. The unforgettable cocktails and alluring ambience make it impossible not to come back later, after dinner, for a fine digestif, to watch the waning moon in the starlit sky.

We welcome you for a cocktail at The Lighthouse Lounge. To book your seat get in touch with us at reservations@baros.com.
