FINE DINING RESTAURANT IN MALDIVES

Lighthouse guests can indulge in Maldivian-French fusion, a gourmet art that was invented and fine-tuned in the Lighthouse. From succulent local seafood, tender steaks and modern classics infused with exotic flavour – in a setting of fine dining combined with an island touch to create the utmost dining pleasure and comfort. The Lighthouse Restaurant soon made a name for itself and is today known as an excellent dining destination with a breath-taking setting over the Baros seas. For guests of Baros, it is part of their resort experience to dine in The Lighthouse at least once during their stay as well as to enjoy magical sunset moments atop the restaurant, in the Lighthouse Lounge. 

To celebrate the special 15th anniversary, the Lighthouse chef, Nathif, has selected the all-time favourites of guests and curated a special ‘Lighthouse Anniversary Degustation’ which will only be available for a limited time from December 2020. All of the dishes have their ambassadors and some are part of the menu since the inception of The Lighthouse. The Cognac Flambéed Lobster Bisque from the Guéridon has been glorified ever since and it was mentioned to be the best Lobster Bisque around the globe by well-travelled guests and some guests would ask for it every night of their fortnight stay at Baros. Another highlight of the dining experience is the Yellowfin Tuna “Rossini” or the Seared Medallions of 300 Day Grain Fed Black Angus Beef Fillet as the most popular main courses. Guests can try this new six-course degustation menu exclusively at The Lighthouse Restaurant.

The Lighthouse Menu has evolved over the years as Chef Nathif and his brigade of skilled chefs know and understand what guests seek for the perfect evening of gourmet highlights accompanied by great wine.

The culinary team of Baros has been recognised and awarded several times, nationally and internationally. Chef Nathif, who is working for Baros for 16 years, has collected several awards over the years for the culinary excellence of him, his team and the Lighthouse. “I am of course very proud of what we have achieved. We appreciate every single award we received for our work. However, I think it is fair to say that the biggest reward for our team is the returning guests. It is simply the best encouragement and acknowledgement if guests come back to the Lighthouse every day during their stay or even travel to the Maldives to dine at the Lighthouse. It is not just the food, it’s also the setting and the team that make the dining experience stand out.”

The six-course 15th Anniversary Degustation Menu is a perfect way to discover the fine food served at Baros and is available only at The Lighthouse Restaurant for a limited period.
